You get some rude “Google your shit” comment on a car blog and 1 of the 2 sources they cite to put me in my place is my own oppo post...

No not that way. I was asking if they had come up with the new engine code for the Tacoma. I was then told to google it instead of wasting everybody’s time and then he listed a Wikipedia article and my oppo article in which I was guessing about the engine as the two sources

Is this in that Iceland article mess or the Taco articles?

I said something like “this is awkward, but you should check the author of that 2nd source”

I read that whole comment train on C&D…let’s just say that he’s not recovering from that one anytime soon.

Lol. Citing wikipedia and oppositelock. Amazing, even aside from the fact it was your own piece. Oppo and wiki are both great but you can’t seriously cite them and expect to be respected or win your argument. Every professional, teacher, and professor I know will either fire or fail you for citing those in a professional or educational setting.

edit, I thought this haha was at my expense, I realize I hadnt been very clear.

So I’m confused still, this dude that tried to put you in your place used your guess - a very well educated guess I might add - as fact, right?

Basically he told me to stop wasting everyone’s time and Google it, then he posted 2 sources he had googled and since my oppo post is the first result if you Google “2016 Tacoma v6” he just copy pasted the link without reading it.

I was wondering how he could say with such authority “FACT: The ‘16 Tacoma V6 is a 2GR-FKS engine” based on you article that is pretty much speculation. I guess the only explanation is he “Googled his shit” but didn’t bother to read its contents. But that is the thing to do nowadays, you know, base ones opinion on conclusion from the headline.
